Marquette- Benjamin D. Shinos, 81, of Marquette, Mich., passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans, Marquette, Mich. He was born July 12, 1940, in Ontario, Canada, son of the late John and Rebecca (Sampson) Shinos. Ben grew up and graduated from school in Canada. Following his graduation, he proudly served in the United States Coast Guard until his honorable discharge on December 3, 1969. Following his time in the military, Ben worked in construction for the Union. Survivors include one brother, Frank Shino, Travis City, Mich.; two granddaughters, Madison and Sara Weber; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by one daughter, Naomi Weber. In accordance with Ben's wishes, private family services will be held.
