Iron Mountain- Benie J. "Bubba" Borkowski, 76, of Breitung Twp., passed away Sunday, April 25, 2020 at his home. He was born May 7, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wis., son of the late Chester and Florence (Zurawski) Borkowski. Benie married Kathryn Leardi in October of 1966. They had 50 years of marriage together and four children prior to her passing on April 11, 2016. Benie is survived by his children, Missy (Kevin) Durkin, Shelly Borkowski, Kelly (Eric) Blake, and Chet Borkowski; seven grandsons, Derek Wedin, Jared Wedin, Little Benie Borkowski, Andrew Durkin, Christian Durkin, Nick Durkin and Ben Durkin; and his dear friends that were like family, Jeff Flatka & Family, Mike Badini and Dean Romagnoli. We thank you for caring for him as his family does. In addition to his parents and wife, Kathryn, Benie was preceded in death by one sister, MaryAnne Tomazcak; and three brothers, Bobbie, Eddie and Ron "Peanuts" Borkowski. Benie was a loved husband, brother, grandfather, dad and friend. He will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have known him. We love you Bubba.
