Amasa: Beatrice E. Lange age 77 of Amasa, Michigan died Saturday August 23, 2003 at the Crystal Manor Nursing Home in Crystal Falls. Beatrice was born on November 11, 1925 in Amasa, Michigan daughter of the late Gust and Maria (Johnson) Hanson. Beatrice grew up in Amasa and attended school there. At a young age Beatrice moved to Chicago were she worked for a few years before marrying Charles Lange on December 4, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa. Beatrice along with her husband Charles moved back to Amasa in 1941. She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amasa until it closed. She later joined Guardian Angels Catholic Church of Crystal Falls. She will be remembered by many as being a great cook at the Amasa Senior Center for years. She will be dearly missed especially by her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Beatrice is survived by: One brother Carl Hanson of Green Bay, WI. Six grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. Besides her parents she is preceded by her husband Charles in 1996, one son Dennis in 1987, one daughter Cheryl Lind in 1974, four brothers and one sister. Visitation will be September 3, 2003, from 10:30 to 11:00a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls, MI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00a.m. Father Dino Silvestrini will be officiating. Burial will be in Hematite Cemetery in Amasa.
