Barbara J. Branz, 74, of Iron Mountain, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center, Appleton, Wis. She was born March 27, 1937, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Domenic and Martha (Neargarth) DiBiase. Barbara married Eugene Branz on August 19, 1961, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2008. Barbara graduated from Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1957. She worked as a clerk at the Swanson's Music Store and babysat the many neighborhood children. Barbara loved spending time family and friends and traveling around in the family motor home. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, crocheting, oil painting, farming, and getting involved with the 4-H program. She is survived by two daughters, Marie Branz, Upper Pine Creek, Cindy Goldsworthy, Appleton; one brother, John (Corinne) DiBiase, Bark River, Mich.; one sister, Charlotte (Leon) Mattord, Upper Pine Creek; two grandchildren, Jarret and Samantha; two brothers-in-law, Paul (Kathy) Branz, Faithorn; Joe Schwei, Iron Mountain; one sister-in-law, Mary (Mike)Corozolla, Norway; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Louis Branz; one sister-in-law, Teresa Schwei. Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
