Naples, FL – Barbara Ann Biolo, 87, of Naples, Florida, on January 25, 2025, passed into her new life peacefully with her children by her side at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida.
She was born on March 2, 1937, to Harold and Cecelia Reimer in Neenah, Wisc, she was the middle of three sisters, Mary and Elizabeth. The family resided in Menasha, Wisc., and she graduated from Menasha High School in 1955. She attended Green Bay Cosmetology and became a beautician.
Barbara married Alex Biolo on July 2, 1960, at St. John's Catholic Church in Menasha. They had three children, Amy of Naples, Florida, Anthony of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Mary of Petoskey, Mich. They have two grandsons, Trevor and Greg Tonge. They built a home in Norway, Mich., in 1974.
Barbara was a member of St. Mary's in Norway and St. Agnes in Naples. She volunteered countless hours in various ministries including St. Vincent de Paul, Holy Spirit Catholic School, and various nursing homes.
An avid tennis player and golfer, Barbara won several U. P. Senior Championships in her age bracket. In retirement, the couple split their time between homes in Norway and Naples. They also traveled extensively with friends on European River and Caribbean Cruises. Devoted mother and grandmother, excellent cook and baker, kind friend, who lived her faith.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth.
A visitation for Alex and Barbara will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Norway, Mich. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. After the service there will be a luncheon held at the church. Burial will take place in the Biolo family plot at Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain, Mich.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to your local hospice.
