Audrey Shakoian, 89, of Florence, Wis., died Sunday February 17, 2008, at the Golden Living Center, Florence. She was born November 30, 1918, in Woodstock, Ill., daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Hopper) Anderson. Audrey married Jerry Shakoian on December 18, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1999. Audrey and her husband lived in Kenosha, Wis. and moved to southern California in the early 1950's. They had many businesses in Anaheim, Calif. and then in the early 1960's, moved to Citrus Heights, Calif. where they lived until the death of her husband. In 2000, Audrey moved to Florence to live with family. She was an excellent seamstress and devoted mother. Audrey loved her animals and often referred to them as her "girls." Audrey is survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Jerry, Audrey was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Ann Hanson; three sisters, DeLoris Hill, Marguerite Reitmyer, and Jean Sanchez.
