Obituary

Crystal Falls: Arwood F. Dallafior, age 82, of Crystal Falls, died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at his home. Arwood was born December 13, 1921, in Amasa, Michigan, the son of the late Frank and Caroline (Schaal) Dallafior. He attended Amasa School and graduated in 1940. He married June Pugh on June 7, 1941. Arwood was in the US Army during World War II from 1943-1946. He was a foreman for the Iron County Road Commission. He was a very caring person. Arwood attended all basketball games for Forest Park. Survivors include his wife June, one daughter Janet (Gary) Brown of Dublin, Ohio, one brother Frank (Beverly) Dallafior of Amasa, three sisters; Frances Bloemker of Mundelein, Illinois, Marian Larson of Pasadena, California, and Frankie Mae (Franklin) Dalpra of Kingsford, three grandchildren; Dr. Dallas (Carrie) Erdmann of Bloomington, Minnesota, Greg Brown, and Chad Brown of Dublin, Ohio, and one Aunt Clara Frisanco. Besides his parents Arwood was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine Leino. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30th from 5 – 7p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 1st, at 11:00a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls. Pastor Michael Laakko will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lee Francisco, Kerry Francisco, Albert Sartori, Bob Magray, Jerry Nelson, and Bill Tonkin. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
