Florence- Arvilla D. Tuchalski, 82, of Florence, Wis., passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at St. Mary Hospital, Green Bay, Wis. She was born April 13, 1938, in Coopersville, Mich., daughter of the late Rex and Dolores (Parmenter) Holmes. Arvilla grew up and attended school in Lower Michigan before moving to Florence in 1966. Arvilla married Neil Tuchalski on September 3, 1971, in Rhinelander, Wis. They resided in Florence. Neil preceded her in death on October 23, 2016. Arvilla worked as a business manager for School District of Florence County from 1966 until her retirement in 1989. Survivors include two sons, James (Debra) Hixon and Tom (Kim) Tuchalski, both of Florence; two daughters, Lori (Marty) Moore and Lisa (Greg) Novak, both of Florence; one sister, Ruth Ann (Lynn) Rogers, Cornville, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Rex, Mardee (Jacob), Jimmer, Riley, Drake, Braiden and Saylor; three great-grandchildren, Gracee, Charlee and Reagan; and by her special friend, Jim Raboin. In addition to her parents and husband, Neil, Arvilla was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Holmes. In accordance with Arvilla's wishes, private family services will be held.
