Ardith M. Grooms, 83, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011, at her home.
She was born May 11, 1928, in Trout Creek, Mich., daughter of the late Oscar and Matilda (Danula) Hattula. Ardith grew up in Trout Creek and attended school there. She married Mark Grooms in January of 1953. He preceded her in death in 2002.
After her husband passed away, Ardith moved to Niagara to be closer to her daughter. She enjoyed many trips to the Casino with her daughters and loved her cats and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Robert (Linda) Grooms, Ajo, Ariz.; two daughters, Kathy (Sam) Schomer, Niagara, Linda (Joe) Diedrich, Sheboygan, Wis.; one brother, Harold (Sharon) Johnson, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Brad Grooms, Staci Grooms, Jennifer (Ed) Provencher, Michelle (Lee) Vogel, Sarah (James) Newell, Emily Diedrich, Alex Diedrich, Hayley Diedrich; ten great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Private family visitation and services were held. Burial will be in Trout Creek.
