Anthony "Pat" Hohol, 83, life-long resident of Niagara, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home, Niagara.
He was born May 23, 1931, in Niagara, son of the late pioneer residents Anton and Elizabeth (Gavoroski ) Hohol.
Pat graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1949. He worked at the First National Bank of Niagara for 10 years and owned and operated for many years Hohol Insurance Agency in Niagara. Pat married Nancy Nylund on April 30, 1960, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara.
He liked attending local basketball games and was an avid Packers Fan. Pat enjoyed gardening, casino trips and loved hunting and fishing; he was always helpful to friends, neighbors and his family. Pat was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church
Pat is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy; three daughters, Lisa (David) McCutcheon, Florence Mass., Lynn (Bruce) Wilson, Menasha, Wis. and Laurie (Michael) Schultz, Niagara; one brother, George (Louise) Hohol, Niagara; two sisters, Joan Whitelaw, Sturgeon Bay, Wis. and Florence Forsland, Chicago, Ill; four grandchildren, Summer, Skylar, Molly and Meg; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, John, Henry, Joseph, Edward, Stanley, Chester, Frank and Walter and five sisters, Bernice Chromisky, Marian Krol, Helen Cabaj, Stella Fox and Stephanie Trottier.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara.
The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel to honor Pat's Legacy of Life.
