Anne Mackie, 90, Kingsford, passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Evergreen Heights Assisted Living, Kingsford.
She was born February 19, 1919, in Commonwealth, Wis., daughter of the late Oscar and Ida (Latvala) Hirvo. On February 22, 1941, she married Frank O. Mackie. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1997.
Survivors include, one daughter, Mary (James) Mroz, Hemlock; one son, Russell (Susan) Mackie, Muskegon; four grandchildren, Paul (Tina) Mackie, Muskegon, Carolyn (Chad) Wanerus, Muskegon, Stephanie (Troy) Goodyear, Perry, Ga., Sara (Thad) Higgins, Duluth, Ga.; six great-grandchildren; one nephew, Jim (Inez) Riverside, Kingsford; other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Frank O. Mackie, she was preceded in death by, one son, Duane Mackie on June 12, 1995; two brothers, Orvin and Toby Hirvo, one sister, Susan Hirvo.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. , Friday, August 7, 2009, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Iron Mountain. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate. Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
