Obituary

Anne Jack, 94, a resident of the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Monday, October 12, 2009, at Northstar Health System, Iron River, Mich. She was born August 13, 1915, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Formolo) Sandri. On November 28, 1936, in Crystal Falls, she married Robert L. Jack. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1976. Anne was a graduate of Crystal Falls High School, class of 1934. Following her marriage she moved to Milwaukee and in 1940 to Stevens Point, Wis. Following Robert's retirement they moved back to Crystal Falls. Anne loved the outdoors, picking berries, fishing, hunting, especially bow hunting and was a former member of the Black Hawk Archery Club, Stevens Point. She was an active member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and the Altar Society, Crystal Falls. Anne volunteered at Forest Park High School and was the crossing guard on U.S. Highway 2 for many years and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Crystal Falls. While living at the Iron County Medical Care Facility she enjoyed her many friendships, playing cards and bingo. Survivors include one son, Robert Jack, Stevens Point; four grandchildren, Cheryl (Randy) Steltenpohl, Timothy (April) Ritzenthaler, Patrick Jack, and Eric (Debra) Jack. Besides her parents and husband, Robert L. Jack, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Hicks; two sisters, Dusalina Gustafson, Josephine Paro; and two brothers Louis Sandri and Ed Sandri. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2009, in the chapel at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. Rev. Jeffrey Kurtz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
