Anne H. Bigalke, 76, of Florence, Wis. passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Florence. She was born November 15, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Schmalz) Stricker. Anne was a graduate of St. Benedict Preparatory High School, Chicago. She married Richard Bigalke on January 30, 1954, in Chicago. While in Chicago Anne worked for banks and in 1969 they moved to Florence. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence. Anne enjoyed many hobbies including, arts and crafts, gardening, baking, reading books and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Richard Bigalke; three sons, Steve (Jean) Bigalke, Florence, David (Jody) Bigalke, Niagara, Wis., Chris (Debbie) Bigalke, Florence; four grandchildren, Bradley Bigalke, Lynnzie (Jeff) White, Amanda (Aaron) Landry, Ashley (Dan) Zoppetti; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Davis; one sister, Eleanor (Otto) Ghere, Florence; nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by one brother, Nicholas Stricker in 2009. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth.
