Iron Mountain: Anna M. (Pietrantonio) Sherman age 90 of Iron Mountain died Saturday July 27, 2003 at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain. Anna was born on June 28, 1913 in Gladstone, Michigan daughter of the late Louis and Lena (Sovey) Desjardin. Anna was raised in Gladstone, Michigan. She married Frank Pietrantonio Sr. in 1929 and he preceded her in death in 1975. Anna later married John Sherman on November 12, 1977. While being married to Frank they owned and operated Pete A Lays Bar for over 40yrs until they retired in 1975. Anna is survived by, Her husband John. Three sons Nick (Ginny) Pietrantonio of Iron Mountain. Anthony (Dolores) Pietrantonio of Manchester, Conn., Frank (Katherine) Pietrantonio of Kingsford, MI. One sister Rose Ann Sherman of Kingsford, MI., Three granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 7 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. Anna is preceded by one daughter- in-law Carol Pietrantonio. two sisters Julia Goulee and Martha Bergeron. Visitation will be Tuesday July 29, 2003 from 10-11:30AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11:30AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
