Iron Mountain: Anna M. Mariucci, age 81, of 505 E. Main Street, Iron Mountain, passed away, after a brief bout with cancer, Tuesday, March 8, 2005, peacefully surrounded by her family at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford, MI. She was born June 17, 1923, in Marquette, MI, the daughter of the late Romeo and Orlanda (Baldrica) Agnessi. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1941. She attended Dundon Business College and Penglaze Business College after High School. Anna married Ernest Mariucci on March 2, 1946 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain where she was a life long member. Anna was employed by J. C. Penney Company where she worked for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a former member of the Lady Elks, D.C.P. Assn, U.C.T. Auxiliary, a Member of the I.C. Guild and Knights of Columbus. Her grandchildren and family were the focus of her life. Anna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ernest, two daughters Rosanne of Milwaukee, WI, and Patricia (John Sr.) Blomquist of Iron Mountain, six grandchildren; Troy, and Kristin Beasley of Milwaukee, John Jr. (Tammy), Ken (Mary Lou), Sara, Jennifer Blomquist of Iron Mountain, one great grandchild Aliana of Milwaukee, WI, two brothers; Peter and Mark Agnessi, and nieces, nephews and extended family and a very special friend Marcene Fuse. Besides her parents Anna was preceded by an infant brother Leo. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2005, from 4 – 8p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 12, at 9:00a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain. Pall bearers will be John Blomquist, Ken Blomquist, Troy Beasley, Mark Agnessi Jr., Tom Becco, and Mike Caruso The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff for their special care at ManorCare Health Services and Dr. Douglas Villa.
