Anna Daske
IRON MOUNTAIN — Anna M. Daske, 87, of Niagara, Wis., formerly of Goodman, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Anna was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Robbins, daughter of the late John and Johanna (Sega) Laurich.
In 1919 when Anna was four years-old, she moved to Goodman. She is a graduate of Goodman High School. After graduating from high school, Anna moved to Moline, Ill., where she worked for International Harvester.
After a few years in Moline, she moved back to Goodman and worked as a cook for the Goodman High School for many years. She then took a position with the Goodman Veneer Mill, where she worked on the assembly line.
Anna was a member of Joan of Arc Catholic Church of Goodman, the Christian Mothers and the American Legion Auxiliary of Goodman.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Peronto of Wabeno, Wis. and Angela (George) Fornetti of Iron Mountain; a sister-in-law, Ruth Laurich of Goodman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Anthony Laurich.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Goodman. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Edward Nowakowski will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman.
