Obituary

Kingsford - Ann Marie Rodman, age 84, a longtime resident of Kingsford, Mich., passed away with her family at her side on February 15, 2019, in Marietta, Georgia.

She was born November 4, 1934, in Iron Mountain, Mich. to the late Adolph and Jennie (Pietrantonio) Cerasoli. Ann Marie graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1953. She married Paul Rodman on May 18, 1963, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1983.

Ann Marie spent all but her final 3 1/2 months in Iron Mountain or Kingsford, Mich. She held jobs at Kingsford Chemical and WB Thompson company prior to her marriage. After her husband died, she worked at both the Dickinson County Road Commission and D&N Bank. She was very active at American Martyrs Catholic Church as a Eucharistic minister and altar boy coordinator. However, she was first and foremost, a mother and homemaker, feeling most comfortable in the kitchen. Informal hosting of a mid-day coffee and cookie visit, or impromptu dinner drop-ins were always welcome. She cherished her sisters and friends. She enjoyed her family most of all but would never turn down a trip to the local casinos or Las Vegas whenever possible. She enjoyed traveling late in life, especially trips to San Francisco to visit her childhood friend, Dr. Antonia Sacchetti and of course, to see her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Dan Rodman, and daughter-in-law, Traci of Woodstock, GA. Her three grandchildren, Erin Rodman (Dallas, TX), Amy Rodman (Tucson, AZ) and Kelly Rodman (Woodstock, GA); her two sisters, Rosalie Hanson of Kingsford and Elaine Fascinelli of Green Bay; nieces Mary Jean (Fascinelli) Eifler of Green Bay, Dr. Sandra (Sjoberg) Seale of Seattle, WA and Monica (Rodman) Montanaro of Taranto, Italy; Godson, Steve Branz; Goddaughter, Janae Chiesa and Todd Chiesa, a childhood friend of Danny's who was like a second son to her.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Prayers will be recited Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11:00 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church, Kingsford. Rev. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
