Ann Marie Lee, 86, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. She was born December 12, 1920, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late William and Ora (Slocum) Burgess. She attended Iron Mountain School, graduating in 1937. Marie married Richard Lee on February 20, 1942, in Hartford, Mich. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Marie was a homemaker and also taught knitting, sewing, and crocheting at the community schools under the direction of Bill Potter and the late Richard Brown. She was a member of the White Shrine, Eastern Star, Job's Daughters, where she held a triangle of honor, and she was also a past member of the Lady Elks. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the same bridge club for 40 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Kingsford. She is survived by her husband, Richard; three daughters, Sharon (Earl) Morris, Midland, Mich., Mary Jane (Jim) LaHaie, Iron Mountain, Susan (Michael) Fornetti, Iron Mountain; seven grandchildren, Mark Bray, Sissy Bray (Mike Gavin), Deborah (Doug) Peer, John Bray, Pamela Morris, Willa (Jeremy Bell) Fornetti-Bell, Tony (Jackie) Fornetti; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Marie Fornetti, Lucy Marie Fornetti, Marin Olivia Bell; and one brother, William (Karen) Burgess, Dunbar, Wisc.
