Crystal Falls- Anita J. Siems, 83, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed on to paradise Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital, Iron River, Mich. Anita was born November 21, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Henry and Winifred (Sundt) Ceazer. She grew up and attended school in Chicago. On January 5, 1958, she married Emil Rhoton in McHenry, Ill. Together they enjoyed four children. She married Albert Siems on June 25, 1989. They, along with their dogs and horses, retired to the great up north soon after. Anita led a full life. When the kids were young, she was an active 4H leader. She loved horses. Her children filled their house with trophies from horse shows and competitions. After the kids were grown, she was an over the road semi-truck driver for a time. Anita then managed Don Bar horse farm in Wadsworth, Ill, for the next decade. She made many lifelong friends there. After retiring to Crystal Falls, Mich., she was active in the community. Anita was an avid swimmer all of her life and even taught an exercise swim class at the local George Young Recreation Center into her 80's. She was a member of the Crystal Falls Pentecostal Church. Anita was a powerful force with an empathetic heart. Survivors include one son, Donald Scott Rhoton, Wonder Lake, Ill.; two daughters, Melody Dawn (Joe) Perez, Hebron, Ill., and Terri (Tom) Fenzel, Richmond, Ill.; six grandchildren, Lonny Siems, Carlie Holicz, Josh Rhoton, Austin (Heather) Fenzel, Kurt (Elizabeth) Fenzel, and Justin Hager; and six great-grandchildren, Rhayn Holicz, Clark Fenzel, Addison Fenzel, Emmett Fenzel, Ellis Fenzel, and Easton Fenzel. In addition to her parents and husband, Anita was preceded in death by her son, Gary, and brother, Henry Ceazer. In accordance with Anita's wishes, a memorial will be held at a later date.
