Obituary

Niagara: Anita M. Morstad age 80, of Niagara, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. Anita was born on April 3, 1926 in Laona, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Milton and Ava (Grimes) Lang. Anita grew up in Wabeno, Wisconsin and graduated from high school there. She went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point were she received her Bachelors Degree in teaching. Anita married Robert Morstad in 1948, and they resided in Niagara. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2005. Anita worked as an elementary school teacher in Niagara for 20 years before she retired. After retiring she moved to Florida were she continued to helping children by tutoring and helping them with their schooling. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. She enjoyed reading, knitting, swimming and especially spending time with her family. Anita is survived by, two sons Paul (Nancy) Morstad, Coleman, Wisc. and Gary (Cheryl) Morstad, Stoughton, Wisc., one sister Peggy (Roland) Krause of Eau Claire, Wisc., four grandchildren, Marissa, Brian (Heather), Amy and Andrea. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6, 2006 from 1:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. A memorial service will be held Tuesday 2:00p.m. at the church. Rev. Michael March will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery in Niagara, Wisc.
