Angela Marie Battan, 27, Crystal Falls, died Monday, February 4, 2008, at home. She was born October 30, 1980, in Crystal Falls, daughter of Charles Battan and Linda Bjork. Angela graduated from Forest Park High School, Class of 1999, and attended Michigan Tech. She loved the farm and most especially the horses she showed at fairs and horse shows. Angela was a great cook and loved the many family gatherings. Survivors include her mother, Linda Bjork, father, Charles Battan, one brother, Jeff Battan, all of Crystal Falls, her maternal grandmother, Agnes Bjork, Alpha; one aunt, Marjorie (Michael) Boyle, Green Bay, Wis., two uncles, Joseph (Kryssis) Bjork, Fruit Port, Mich., Michael (Mary) Bjork, Potomic Falls, Virginia; her very special friend, Nick Smith, Crystal Falls, girlfriend, Jessica Davis, Alpha, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Mike J. Bjork, and paternal grandparents, Herman and Irma Battan. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008, at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Ray Valerio will officiate. The family will have a gathering following the services at the Circle Café, Alpha.
