Andrew David Liscomb, 50, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Northstar Health System (Iron County General Hospital), Iron River. He is at peace with his Heavenly Father after a long illness.
He was born January 17, 1959, is Rochester, Mich., son of David and Arlene (Steffen) Liscomb. Andy attended school in Kingsford, Mich. He was a gifted artist and musician, and graced many audiences with humorous tales and songs of his own composition.
Andy will be remembered for his warm heart, his ready laugh, his uncanny ability to ace most any Jeopardy or Trivia challenge, and generous sharing of his homemade dill pickles!
He is survived by his parents, David and Arlene Liscomb of Crystal Falls; his brother, Steve (Vanessa) Liscomb, Amasa, and their daughters, Mercedes Liscomb, Cassandra (Gary) Willman; his sister, Candice (Greg Stough) Liscomb, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, and their three children, Kindrina, John, and Stephanie; and his sister, Stephanie (Terry) West, Lexington, Va. In addition to his extended family, Andy leaves behind many friends in the Amasa area.
Andy's family is deeply grateful to the many doctors, caregivers, and staff who were especially helpful and supportive over the past several years.
