Albert E. Jacobson, 76, Amasa, died Saturday, October, 6, 2007, at the Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River.
He was born November 14, 1930, in Amasa, son of the late Eric and Ellen (Isaacson) Jacobson. On June 24, 1978, in Chicago, Illinois, he married Susan M. Searle. She survives.
Albert was a retired cement mason. He returned to Amasa in 1998 after retiring. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and card playing.
Survivors include, his wife, Susan Jacobson, Amasa; four sons, Albert (Diane) Jacobson, Chicago, David (Donna) Jacobson, Evanston, Ill., Ronald Jacobson, Chicago, Thomas Jacobson, Chicago; two daughters, Linda (David) Lambrakas, Chicago, Beverly Jacobson, Roseville, Calif.; one brother, Robert (Emmie) Jacobson, Augusta, Georgia, one sister, Gladys (Victor) Hanttula, Amasa; grand children and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Amasa. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Rev. Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Hematite Cemetery, Amasa with military rites accorded by the East Side Veterans Council.
