Iron Mountain: Alan George Rovge age 49, of 618 5th Street, Iron Mountain, Michigan died Tuesday September 17, 2002 at Aurora Bay Care Center in Green Bay Wisconsin. Alan was born on September 11, 1953 in Iron Mountain son of George and Georgette Rovge. Alan grew up in Iron Mountain and at a young age moved to Milwaukee. Alan graduated from Madison High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Alan was a member of St Mary's Orthodox Church, and was a dedicated union brother of Laborer's Union Local 1329. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting with his loyal dog Beamer, and also liked to golf with friends. Alan was always laughing and telling stories of his experiences. He will be missed for all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will always be loved and never forgotten. Alan is survived by; His wife Marita Johnson-Rovge of Iron Mtn. His Mother Georgette Rovge of Iron Mountain. One son Alan Lee Rovge of Chicago, IL., One daughter Janel Lynn Rovge of Iron Mountain, MI., Two sisters; Allison (Chuck) Wickert of Iron Ridge, WI., Susan (Mike) Stadler of Butte des Morts, WI., One brother Dwayne (Jean) George of Oshkosh, WI. Nieces and nephews including; Keri, Kelly, and Kyle Wickert of Iron Ridge, WI. Step Children; Lisa (Brian) Pearson of Iron Mtn., Lindsey Whiting of Iron Mtn. and Jessica Whiting of Gulfport, MS. Grandchildren; Holly Uren, Dillon Uren, Cody Ellis, Randi Pearson, Kiaya Whiting all of Iron Mtn. Friends may call Friday September 20, 2002 from 4-6PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Trisagion memorial services will be recited Friday 6PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday September 21, 2002 10AM at St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Iron Mountain. Fr. Mark Hagan will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain. The Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is serving the family.
