Al M.
Moore
November 13, 1952 – December 23, 2022
Al Moore, 70, of Homestead, Wisc., passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Marshfield Hospital in Marshfield, Wisc. Al was born November 13, 1952, in Sedro Wolley, Wash., son of Carl and Margaret Moore. His family moved from Tomah, Wisc., to Homestead in 1966.
Al married Jackie, the love of his life, on November 6, 1998, in Iron Mountain, Mich. He worked at Grede Foundries for 16 years, then he owned and operated Moore's Auto Repair. Al never fully retired as he spent the remainder of his years fixing and rebuilding lawn tractors, always helping friends and neighbors with many projects and repairs. There wasn't anything he could not fix, build, or fabricate.
Al and Jackie loved spending time together, visiting with friends, playing cards, and going to Florida for the winter months. He loved having family and friends around him. Al organized many fishing derby's, participated in tractor pulls as a driver and flagman, and hosted many years of bean bag tournaments.
Al is survived by his wife, Jackie; children, Sheila (Fritz) DeGrand, Bryan (Emily) Moore, Shawn Moore, Jeff (Heather) Moore, and Laura (John) Moore; stepchildren, Heather (Tim) Barry, and Kurt Hoffman; and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Margaret Moore, and a brother Rich Moore.
Al's family would like to thank the medical staff at Marshfield Hospital in the Medical ICU and Palliative Care units for their kindness and compassion for Al and his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the C&R Bar in Aurora, Wisc.
