Ada P. "Ginger" (Cattelan) Tellier, 97, of Norway, Mich., passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, February 9, 2019, at Evergreen Meadows Memory Care Unit in Norway, Mich., where she had resided since August of 2015. Ginger was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norway.

Ginger was born March 4, 1921, in Iron Mountain, Mich., to the late Batista John and Josephine (Rigoni) Cattelan. She grew up on the North Side of Iron Mountain in the Chatanika location and attended school in Iron Mountain.

Ginger married the love of her life, Gunnery Sgt. Joe Tellier, of Iron Mountain on July 1, 1941 at the Immaculate Conception Church of Iron Mountain.

Together they lived on a Marine base in South Carolina, until Joe went off to war. Ginger then moved to Milwaukee, where she resided until 2012. Joe was killed in action in Iwo Jima on March 2, 1945, from wounds sustained in action.

On May 31, 1949 Ginger married Urban (King) Beiser. They owned and managed two large rooming houses on the East Side of Milwaukee, until the marriage ended in 1961. Ginger continued to run the rooming houses until 2012, when at 90 years old her health declined, and she moved to Norway to be near family. In addition to running the rooming houses in her earlier years, she also worked at Johnson Control for 20 years as a supervisor.

Ginger married Dick Bullion on December 16, 1972 and was married to him until 2013.

Ginger had a love for dogs and would train them and show them at obedience classes. Her favorites were Dancer, GiGi Doll and Angelic.

She is survived by three special nieces, Suzanne Cattelan, Norway, Mich., Yvonne (Vince) Fiorucci, Iron Mountain, Mich. and Sandy (Neil) Botwright, Escanaba, Mich. Along with her nieces, Ginger had a very special place in her heart for her nephew, Dean Varda and his daughter, Matina.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joe, Ginger was preceded in death by four brothers, Art, Albert (Curley), Adolph (Chuchy) and Alfred (Freddie); and her older sister, Adeline (Irving) Schuls and her twin sister, Ann (Walter) Bilski.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Norway, Mich. The Funeral Mass will be recited Friday, 11:30 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Timothy Ekaitis will officiate. A luncheon will be held downstairs following the mass. Burial will take place in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (called the punchbowl) in Oahu, Hawaii, where she will be laid to rest with her first husband and the love of her life, Joe Tellier.

Because of Ginger's love of dogs, a large portion of any monetary donations will be given to "Paws to the North Dog Rescue".

The family would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Memory Care Unit for their loving, attentive care while Ginger was a resident. A special thank you to Norah, night shift worker, who held a special place in her heart for Ginger and would have tea parties with her at 4 a.m. when she couldn't sleep, and would go out of her way to take extra special care of her; Mike 2nd shift nurse and Lisa who would dress Ginger for church and put a pretty scarf around her neck and matching flower in her hair. At church she became know as the lady with the flower in her hair.
