Obituary for Wesley J. Fisher
Iron Mountain- Wesley J. Fisher, 38, of Loretto, Mich., passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born October 14, 1982, in Upland, California, son of Richard Sr. and Veronica (Allen) Fisher. Wesley grew up in Ontario, California, and graduated from Valley View High School, class of 2000. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2014. Wesley proudly served in the United States Army with two tours of duty in Iraq, OIF 2 & 3. He was employed as a Medical Support Assistant for the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Mich. Wesley married his high school sweetheart, Katherine “Katie” Rettke, on May 16, 2003, in Fontana, California. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion since 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Fisher, Loretto, Mich.; three daughters, Madisen, Aidan and Gwendolyn Fisher; his father, Richard Fisher Sr., Yucca Valley, California; two brothers, Robert Fisher, Lawton, Oklahoma and Richard Fisher Jr., Billings, Montana; three sisters, Melissa Fisher, Yucca Valley, California, Jessica Fisher, Billings, Montana, and Destiney Fisher, Yucca Valley, California; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Wesley was preceded in death by his mom, Veronica.
A celebration of Wesley’s life will take place Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #50, Iron Mountain, Mich. Burial will take place in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif.
