Obituary for Vivian J. Karle (Johnson)

Florence- Vivian J. Karle, 92, of Florence, Wis., passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at her home.

She was born April 17, 1930, in Florence, Wis., daughter of the late Rudolph and Stella (Stabinski) Johnson.
Vivian was a lifelong resident of Florence and a graduate of Florence High School. She married Alfred Karle on September 11, 1948. He preceded her in death. Vivian and Alfred lived on the homestead in Florence, where they were dairy farmers. Vivian lived on the family farm for 74 years.

Vivian enjoyed picking berries, cutting bows, and milking cows. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Mark (Tracy Brolin) Karle and William Karle, both of Florence; three daughters, Lynn Karle, Florence, Wis., Carol (Greg) Weissenfluh, Sacramento, Calif., and Marie (Mike) Lee, Fairbanks, Alas.; two brothers, Don “Louie” Johnson, Florence, Wis., and Jack (Alice) Johnson, Fence, Wis.; two sisters, Nancy (Joe) Podnar, and Marion Vassar, both of Florence, Wis.; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Alfred, Vivian was preceded in death by one son, John Karle; two brothers, Carl Johnson, Philip Johnson; and one sister, Gladys Kolberg.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, Wis. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Albert Balderas will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Florence, Wis.
