Obituary for Thomas C. Schewe
Iron Mountain- Thomas C. Schewe, 78, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at his home.
He was born February 17, 1942, in Alma, Mich., son of the late Edward and Jesse (Osborn) Schewe. Thomas graduated school from Ottoawa Hills in Grand Rapids, Mich. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in business as well as an Associate’s Degree in Electric Power Technology, both from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich. Thomas proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1965. He married Diane Sapp on December 17, 1966. Thomas worked in electrical sales for Champion Company.
Tom loved to hunt and fish. He looked forward to South Dakota pheasant hunting trips every year with family and close friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Diane Schewe; one daughter, Ellery (Brad) Kassin, Iron Mountain, Mich.; two sons, Paul Schewe and Clinton (Mariah) Schewe; grandchildren, John Schewe, Chelsea Schewe, Logan Schewe, Kennedy (Rimick) Cain, Karsyn Schewe, Kooper Schewe, Nolen Kassin, and Wyatt Kassin and by many friends and extended family.
In accordance with Thomas’ wishes, private family services will be held.
