Obituary for Theodore Joseph "Teddy" Zukowski

Niagara- Theodore Joseph Zukowski, 81, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, while wintering in Port Orange, Florida.

He was born October 22, 1942, in Iron Mountain, Mich., to the late Joseph and Helen Zukowski. Ted grew up in Niagara, Wisc. He was passionate and civic-minded, a joyous personality with an infectious laugh, and a gifted storyteller. Ted loved tinkering and building things big and small, playing golf, and enjoying a sunset cruise with his family on Sand Lake. He had a thirst for knowledge and loved sharing historical wisdom with others. Ted was an Air Force veteran, serving his country honorably in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Doreen; his brothers, Jim, Pat, and Dennis; his sister, Gloria; his oldest son, Jay (Kim); his daughter, Katie; his youngest son, Joey (Tres); and his three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by one sister, Jean.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home-Niagara Chapel, Niagara, Wisc. The Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara, Wisc. Rev. Fr. Felix Abano will officiate. Burial will take place in the Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wisc. with Military Honors.
