Obituary for Stephen K. Schneible
Norway- Stephen K. Schneible, 70, of Norway, Mich., passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, in Beecher, Wis.
He was born on January 27, 1952, in Florence, Alabama, a son of the late James and Dorothy (Knight) Schneible. Stephen grew up in Florence, Alabama, and was a graduate of Coffee High School. After graduation, he went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History at the UNA of Florence, Alabama. On December 6, 2003, he was united in marriage to Theresa Vanden Avond.
He worked for thirty-eight years at Verso Papers.
Stephen was an avid golfer and attended the UNA of Florence, Alabama with a golf scholarship. He was a former member of Oak Crest Golf Course, Norway, Michigan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Theresa Schneible; one son, Adam Schneible; three daughters, Alaina (Matt) Dumas, Brenda (Justin) Huddleston, and Jessica Cary; one brother, James Schneible; seven grandchildren, Jackson, Tristin, Lora, Jacen, Chase, Kynlee, and Nolan; and by one great-granddaughter, Reign.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Berg.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Iron Mountain, Mich. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at the church. Services will be presided by Norman Satterly. A luncheon will follow the service.
