Obituary for Sharon L. Kowalkowski (Rissling)

Goodman-Sharon L. Kowalkowski, age 72, of Goodman, Wis., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

She was born on October 18, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of the late Clarence and Naomi Rissling. Sharon was raised in Milwaukee and graduated high school there. She married Timothy “Tim” Kowalkowski on April 4, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nev. They resided in Goodman and attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Armstrong Creek, Wis. Sharon worked for the Goodman Veneer for many years as a wood planer until her retirement in 2004. She also worked as a waitress and bartender at the Blue Roof Saloon in Armstrong Creek and the White House in Goodman.

Sharon enjoyed socializing and loved people, especially her family and friends. She enjoyed her many trips to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Tim Kowalkowski; four sons, Klinton Krenzke, Colo., Kristopher (Miun) Krenzke, Las Vegas, Nev., Keith (Vickie) Krenzke, Fence, Wis. and Chad (Jacqueline) Kowalkowski, Oconto Falls, Wis.; one brother, Curt (Vicky) Rissling, Manitowoc, Wis.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Buddy.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by one infant son, Timothy Michael Jr; one brother, Steve Rissling; and one sister, Renee Jackups.

In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, private family services will be held.
