Obituary for Scott M. Chartier

Niagara- Scott M. Chartier, 61, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Friday, January 24, 2020, at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, Florida.

He was born February 7, 1958, in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of the late John and Marlene (Bovee) Chartier. Scott lived in Niagara, Wis. all his life. He worked at the Niagara Paper Mill and then went on to start a logging business. He later worked as a millwright. Upon his retirement he took up metal collecting.

Scott spent many years hunting and fishing in the surrounding Wisconsin and Michigan area which he loved.

Scott is survived by his son, Jon Lain Chartier; brother, Steven (Gayle) Chartier; nephews, Steve (Jennifer) Chartier and their three children, Shawn (Emily) Chartier and their son; niece, Shanna Cartier; nephew, Nick Chartier and his two children; sister, Renee (Dean) Recla; nephews, Robbie (Whitney) Recla, and their two children, and Adam Recla and his two children; uncle’s and aunt’s, Jan (Anita) Bovee, Caroline (Ralph) Reimer, and Gary Bovee; along with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, John “Jack” and Marlene M. Chartier; along with both paternal and maternal grandparents; and nephew, Brent D. Recla.

In accordance with Scott’s wishes, private family services will be held.
