Obituary for Ronald A. Schwark

Hermansville-Ronald A. Schwark, 69, of Hermansville, Mich., passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Cunard, Mich.

He was born September 7, 1950 in Daggett, Mich., son of the late Elmer and Laura (Rockstad) Schwark. Ron grew up and was raised in Jam Dam and Bark River, Mich. He married Joan Hull on October 28, 1972 at United Methodist Church in Hermansville. Ron worked for Walechka Excavating in Jam Dam for many years.

He enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, feeding deer, turkeys and birds, but most of all enjoyed making maple syrup.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan, Hermansville; one son, Steven (Michelle) Schwark, Hermansville; one brother, James (Jean), Madison, Wis.; one sister, Ramona (Jim), Lower Michigan; three grandchildren, Jordan Kosiba, Kingsford, Mich., Dakota Schwark and Sierra Schwark, both of Hermansville, Mich.; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by six brothers, Elmer, Norman, Daniel, Donald, Lauren and William; and by four sisters, Bess, Eva, Carol and Kathy.

In accordance with Ron’s wishes, private family services will be held.
