Obituary for Ronald L. Behnke
Niagara- Ronald L. Behnke, 74, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, Wis.
He was born April 14, 1946, in Brown County, Wis., son of the late Walter and Mildred (Schmeider) Behnke. Ron grew up in Niagara and was a graduate of Niagara High School, class of 1964. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge. On November 26, 1969, he was united in marriage to Joanne Zastrow at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, Wis. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2018. They resided in Cedarburg until moving to Niagara in 1973. In 1986 Ronald started Niagara Tool and Die.
Ronald enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon (Ann Rose) Behnke and Walter (Sara) Behnke, both of Niagara, Wis.; one grandson, Brady Behnke; Ron’s significant other, Nancy; one brother, Don (Sue) Behnke, Niagara, Wis.; and three sisters, Judi (Bernie) Powell, Niagara, Wis., Pat (Ray) Chrisman, Aurora, Wis., and Maryann (Mik) Hansen, Quinnesec, Mich.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Country Bar, Niagara, Wis.
