Obituary for Robert L. "Bob" Zigman
Iron Mountain- Robert L. Zigman, 84, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born May 19, 1935, in Green Bay, Wis., son of the late Mary Zigman. Bob grew up in Niagara, Wis., and was a graduate of Niagara High School, class of 1954. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1956. Bob worked as a computer operator for the Niagara Paper Mill for 42 years. He married Patricia Sundquist on June 25, 1960. She preceded him in death on October 24, 1990.
Bob enjoyed taking his family on camping trips, spending time with his boys at local sporting events, and his many hours preparing the local ski hills for ski jumping events.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Connie) Zigman, Pennsylvania, and James (Gretchen) Zigman, Minneapolis, Minn.; two daughters, Roxanne Neuens, Vulcan, Mich., and Debra Zigman, Florence, Wis.; six grandchildren, Jason Mills, Joshua Mills, Scott Neuens, Dillon Zigman, Morgan Zigman, and Anna Zigman; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother and his wife, Patricia, Bob was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Zigman.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, graveside services will be announced in the spring in Felch Cemetery, Felch, Mich.
