Obituary for Robert H. "Bob" Bevard
Kingsford - Robert H. "Bob" Bevard, 78, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Optalis Health and Rehabilitation, Kingsford, Mich.
He was born on March 20, 1945, he was the son of the late Roger and Eunice (Harding) Bevard.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and Kingsford, he graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1963.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era in South Korea from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968. He received the National Defense Service Metal for his service.
Bob met his wife of fifty-five years, Micha, while in Korea. After returning to the States from meeting her, he asked for his parents blessing to be married to Micha. He went back to Korea and they were married on November 5, 1968.
Throughout his life, he worked at Elmers Hardware Store, Gambles, and did many handy-man jobs in the area. Bob enjoyed the outdoors; he took walks with his wife and dogs each day. He rode his bike everywhere. He enjoyed going to camp every Wednesday with his friend, Dr. Don Jacobs.
Bob loved dogs, and always had a dog. He was a friend to many and loved his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Micha Bevard; son, Jason Bevard of Kingsford, Mich.; daughter, Suzie (mark) Bagnieschi of Niagara, Wisc.; grandchildren, Amber (Rick) Bottesi of Kingsford, Mich., Abbey Bagnieschi of Aledo, Tex., and Jennifer Bevard of Aurora, Wisc.; and great-grandchildren, Bradlee, Lucas, and Ava.
