Obituary for Richard W. Hartwell
Iron Mountain- Richard W. Hartwell, 69, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wis.
He was born September 5, 1950, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Ernest J. and Rose I. (Famiani) Hartwell. Richard grew up in Iron Mountain and was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School, class of 1969. After graduation he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in industrial education from Northwestern Michigan State University, class of 1974. Richard worked as an EMT for Dickinson County Ambulance Service for 15 years. He also worked as a substitute teacher in the area.
Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially the time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include his brother, James (Barbara) Hartwell, Iron Mountain, Mich.; and one nephew, David Hartwell, Iron Mountain, Mich.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain, Mich. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate.
