Obituary for Pauline Lynn "Polly" Thomas (Fuller)

Iron Mountain – Pauline Lynn Thomas, 59, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at her home. Heaven gained another angel.

She was born on November 14, 1960 in Laona, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Douglas and Elizabeth (Kagerbauer) Fuller. Pauline grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School, class of 1978. She waitressed first in Nickerson, Kansas and then later in Florence County for many restaurants for years. She worked for Pride Manufacturing in Florence and then later worked as a home healthcare aid in the Pine River area for 8 years. Pauline married Billy Thomas on July 18, 2009.

Everyone that knew her called her Polly and anyone that knew her knew she was filled with love, kindness, and understanding. She loved reading, baking, bird watching, and gardening. A few years back for Christmas she made binders for her 3 children with all of her favorite recipes, mostly written by hand, along with pictures of family scattered throughout. Polly loved life in general, but she loved visiting friends and family more than anything. From coffee clutches to children’s birthday parties, she could always be found with a warm smile on her face. Her husband, Billy, could often be found right next to her whenever possible.

Survivors include her loving husband of 10 years, Billy Thomas, Iron Mountain; one son, Lucas Nichols; Florence, Wis.; one daughter, Elizabeth (Michael Hancock) Davis, Florence, Wis.; grandchildren, Rebecca Hancock, Kylynn Davis, Leah Davis, Matthew Naab, Paxton Olson; one brother, Randy (Theresa) Fuller, California; five sisters, Kathy (Hal) Thede, Florence, Wis., Bobby Lukaszewski, Florence, Karen (Bob) Nickiel, Green Bay, Patty (John) Wagerle, Kansas and Leslie (Barry) Held, Florence, Wis.; her first husband, Glen Nichols, Merrill, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Lou Nichols.

Visitation Tuesday, January 28, 2020, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, Wis. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Avery Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Fence Cemetery in the spring.
