Obituary for Patricia L. "Patty" Zuern (Struebing)
Niagara- Patricia L. “Patty” Zuern, 68, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at her home.
She was born March 31, 1953, in Norway, Mich., daughter of the late Ruben and Ruthie (Struebing) DeClark. Patty grew up and attended school in Niagara, Wis. On April 5, 1969, she was united in marriage to Norbert Zuern in Iron Mountain, Mich.
Patty was very giving and loved people and life itself; she was not shy and could talk to anyone. She was very creative, and if there was something she wanted to do, she went at it full force. Patty enjoyed trout fishing and gardening, but especially the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Norbert Zuern; two sons, Benjamin (Brenda) Zuern, Gladstone, Mich., and Matthew (Laura) Zuern, Kingsford, Mich.; one daughter, Jamie Curran, Niagara, Wis.; six grandchildren, Dannielle Zuern, Samantha (Brock) Rose, Mya (James Reed) Zuern, Adam Curran, Gabriel Zuern, and Lizzy Zuern; three great-grandchildren, Nolan Zuern, Owen Rose and Daisy Reed; two brothers, Peter (Marcia) DeClark, Niagara, Wis., and Ernie DeClark, Wisconsin; one sister, Beth Spade, Wisconsin; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by one son, David Zuern; one daughter, Lisa Zuern; and three sisters, Doris Lusardi, Carol Bjorkman, and Gail Miller.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. The funeral service will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Rev. Jim Danielson will officiate.
