Obituary for Patricia R "Pat" Butler (Wright)

Niagara – Patricia "Pat" R. Butler, 87, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home, Niagara.

She was born on September 11, 1933, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Prudham) Wright. Pat grew up in Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1951. She married John Butler on June 13, 1953, in Iron Mountain. They moved to the east coast, where they resided when John was in the Navy. Pat worked for the Civil Service while living out East. They moved back to the area in 1957 and in 1965 made Niagara their home. Pat worked for years at The Boston Store in Niagara afterward worked for Karen's Studio in Niagara for 50 years until her retirement. She was a Riverside United Methodist Church member in Niagara, active in the church's shawl ministry, and a long-time member of the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 136, Niagara.

Pat attended most of her family's sporting events, enjoyed traveling, and loved to spend time with her family. She truly was her family's matriarch.

She is survived by her loving husband, John of 67 years; one son Robert "Bob" (Julie) Butler, Niagara, Wis.; two daughters Denise (Tom) Hurzeler, Niagara, Wis., and Beth (Mike Massie) Molle, Niagara, Wis.; nine grandchildren Matthew (Amber), Jason (Erin), Melissa (Kyle), Brian (Chelsea), Kathleen (Bryan), Rachel (Mike), Elizabeth (Ryan), Bradley (Rachel), and Christine (Brian); nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Bev Wright, Kingsford, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by one son Dan Butler; one son-in-law Gary Molle; one daughter-in-law, Melody Butler; seven brothers; and seven sisters.

Private family visitation and funeral services will be held. Pastor Henry Yoap will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wis.
