Obituary for Nancy M. Schuls (Corsi)
Iron Mountain-Nancy M. Schuls, 92, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Aurora Medical Center, Marinette, Wis.
She was born on August 4, 1928, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Domenic and Linda (Jaffola) Corsi. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School, class of 1946. She married Leo Schuls on June 28, 1947, in Iron Mountain at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, of which she was a long-time member. Nancy worked for a short time in the bookkeeping department at the First National Bank, Iron Mountain - Kingsford. She spent 30 years working for Occhietti Jewelers and retired from Shopko as a cashier after 20 years.
Nancy was an active member of the Paisano Club, Iron Mountain, for many years and the Menominee Range Historical Museum as a volunteer. She enjoyed crocheting, all the outdoors had to offer, playing cards with her friends, and especially cooking Italian dishes and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband of 73 years, Leo Schuls; one daughter, Linda K. Erickson, Midland, Mich.; one grandson, Ian (Kate) Erickson, Fort Collins, Colo.; and one great-granddaughter, Wren Katherine Erickson.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2020, from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
