Alpha-Mary Ann Neault, age 92, of Alpha, Mich., passed away Friday, September 28, 2018, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital, Iron River, Mich.
She was born December 29, 1925, in Alpha, Mich., daughter of the late Clement and Maria (Montavan) Galetto. Mary had been a lifelong resident of Alpha and a graduate of Porter School. She was a member of St. Edwards Church in Alpha, Mich. and Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls, Mich. Mary was united in marriage to William Neault; he preceded her in death on September 18, 1995.
Mary enjoyed cooking and often made pasties for the St. Edwards Church in Alpha. She also volunteered at Medicare and Crystal Manor in Crystal Falls. Mary was a member and chairman of the children's activities of the VFW and enjoyed playing cribbage and smear.
She is survived by one son, Guy Neault, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Elena (Rick) Rousseau, Lake Mills, Wis. and Debra (Roy) Neault, Alpha, Mich.; two grandchildren, Juaquin Neault, Oakland, Calif., and Lea (Ray) Flores, Lake Mills, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Ariana and Olivia; one nephew, Clem (Rocky) Scarlassara; and her best friend of over 60 years, Rose Mae Skibo; special friend, Hedko; and survived by her fur grandbaby “Scruffy”.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers, Jacinto and Victor Scarlassara and Clem Galetto; and three sisters, Victoria, Tillie, and Tressa Scarlassara;
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. Prayers will be recited at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Fr. Dan Malone will officiate. Burial will take place in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
