Obituary for Mary A. "Mitzi" Ebidon (Rucinski)

Mary Anne “Mitzi” (Rucinski) Ebidon, age 87, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Friday, November 15, 2019, at Maryhill Manor.

She was born on May 29, 1932, in Niagara, Wis., daughter of the late Walter Eddie and Hester (Korten) Rucinski. All of her childhood days were spent in Niagara. Mitzi married James Jim Ebidon on December 3, 1949, at Grace United Methodist Church in Norway, Mich. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1993.
Mitzi was a great adventurer; good sport; and wonderful help to all who knew her. She loved doing anything and everything with and for her family. Her favorite things involved company and family gatherings (usually with food); helping people; countless road trips; including Sister Trips; hunting and fishing; relaxing at the piano; four-handed pinochle; telling stories about ancestors, relatives, friends, and herself; and reading her Bible every day.

Mitzi is survived by her children: Hester (Paul) Bolek, James Eddie (Terri) Ebidon, Jr., Katrina Schwenn, and Bonnie (Mel) Kauranen; her siblings: Lysle Rugg, Bonnie (Ronald) DeCremer, Ila (Robert) Sparpana, Claire (John) Berry, John (Lori) Rucinski, and Tanya (Dennis “Jake”) Payette; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mitzi was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Andre’ Ebidon; a daughter, Betty French; a brother, Robert Bobby Rucinski; and two sisters, Patricia Patty Wescher and Kay Coppens.

A memorial service will be held in the spring. Details of the service will follow at a later date.
