Obituary for Martin R. Peterson
Iron Mountain-Martin R. Peterson, age 67, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at ManorCare Nursing and Rehab., Kingsford, Mich.
Marty was born on November 13, 1951, to the late Russell and Pearl (Johnson) Peterson.
He is survived by sisters, Grace (Ken) Sparapani of Gardnerville, NV, Gail (Richard) Dabb of Coconut Creek FL, and Lana (Jeff) Stevens of Jackson, WI, a very special nephew, Scott (Lisa) Sparapani of Brown Deer, WI, and a very special niece, Sheila Sparapani of Gardnerville, NV. Also surviving are three nieces residing in WI, TX, FL, and two nephews residing in AZ and CO, along with great nephews, great nieces, and one great-great niece. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Spike.
In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Peterson, who passed away in 1963 at the age of 17.
Marty had numerous friends over the years and will miss them all. A huge thank you to all his friends who took the time to visit him while he was ill. He enjoyed those visits beyond words.
THANK YOU to his classmates who held a pre-50th class reunion for Marty and presented him with a one of a kind IMHS Class of 1969 baseball cap. The kind gesture and thoughtfulness meant the world to him.
A special thank you to Tom Inglese and Henry Patrick for always being there during this difficult time.
