Obituary for Marjorie Mae Carr

Stephenson- Marjorie M. Carr, 87, of Stephenson, Mich., passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her home.

She was born December 24, 1935, in Homestead, Wisc., daughter of the late Jacob and Cleo (Hillman) Schuirmann. Marjorie married Larry Carr after high school and raised nine children together and lived in Menominee County most of her life. She loved flowers, traveling, watching birds, picking berries and playing cards with her dear friends Bev and Ione in Garden Mich. Marjorie’s greatest love of her life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her eight children; Gary (Cathie) Carr, Jacksonville, Florida, Michael Carr, Green Bay, Wisc., Thomas Carr, Stephenson, Mich., RoseAnn Carr, Cypress, Tex., Laurie (John) Strege, Menomonee Falls, Wisc., Sandra (Mark) Vaver, Hermansville, Mich., Penny Wilson, Stephenson, Mich., and Angela Mackie, Peshtigo, Wisc..; two brothers, Richard (Carol) Schuirmann, of Homestead, Wisc., and Edward (Karen) Schuirmann of Arkansas; one sister, Barbara Stayton, Camp Douglas, Wisc.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph, James and Donald Schuirmann; and two sisters, Gerry Sletter and Cathleen Larson.; two former husbands, Larry Carr and Robert Hendrickson; son, Terry Carr; daughter-in-laws, Debbie Carr and Aleida Carr; son-in-law, Courtney Mackie; and infant grandchildren, Larry Jay Carr and Lisa Marie Carr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Maple Aire Hall, East 838 Gerue, Stephenson, Mich., 49887. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich., to honor Marjorie’s legacy of life.
