Lorraine Mildred Martha Ehlert, age 97 of Dunbar, Wis., passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 13, 2018.

Lorraine was born in Chicago, Ill. on January 12, 1921. She moved to Pembine, Wis. with her parents and remained in the Pembine area to raise her family. Lorraine loved her family dearly and remembered each birthday and holiday with a card. She also loved hunting and fishing very much. Lorraine held many jobs through the years, but her favorite was being an insurance representative for Bankers Life and Casualty Company.

Lorraine is survived by four children, Glen (Gail) Ehlert of Niagara, Wis., Kathleen (David) Groeneveld of Vulcan, Mich., Kerry (Kris) Ehlert of Beecher, Wis., and Wendy (Jonathan) Marquardt of Dunbar, Wis.; daughter-in-law Mary Ehlert of Milwaukee, Wis.; one half-brother, Marvin Zuern. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Tamar (Samuel) Penning, Melody Shacter, Frances Crawley, Christina Garcia, Heidi (Kevin) DeMaster, Lee (Shawna) Erickson, Heather (Andrew) Schiefelbein, Codey (Stephanie) Ehlert, Samantha Smiley, Aaron (Martha) Rowling, Kevin Rowling, Dale Lueneburg, Brandon Lueneburg; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Clara and Walter Zuern; two brothers Norbert and Wilbur Zuern; one sister Bernice Ruth Potier. Also preceding her, is her husband William Ehlert Jr.; her son Clifford Ehlert, three grandsons, Glen Ehlert Jr., Cory Ehlert and Clifford Ehlert Jr.; and by her great-granddaughter Lane Ehlert.

Private family visitation and service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Pembine, Wis. Pastor Gene Wickman will officiate. Burial will take place in Pembine Cemetery.
