Obituary for Lois E Inch

Crystal Falls – Lois E. Inch, 70, of Crystal Falls, MI, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home with her children by her side.

She was born on December 19, 1953, in Boston MA, to Joan (Parker) Inch and the late Morris Inch. She graduated from Wheaton North High School, Wheaton, IL, class of 1971.

Lois made her home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she raised her children. She owned and operated The Upholstery Place and Spotted Treasures. Lois was a lover of the natural world. She was the caretaker of many dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ferrets, bees, and a cow. Her garden always grew, and the flowers always bloomed. Lois considered herself to be “Of the Earth”. She was happy with her feet in the dirt, and stress therapy consisted of sitting with her back against a tree. It was a common offer of assistance to duct-tape others to that same tree.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Inch; her children, Julia (Linda Olson) Eddy, Jeremy (Calllie Roush) Fox, and Nicole (Robert) Archambault; siblings, Deborah (Raymond) Austin, Thomas (Cynthia) Inch, Joel (Debi) Inch, and Mark (Bette) Inch; grandchildren, Shannan (Michael Stammer) Waldo, Eryn (Noah Oubelkho) Waldo, and Archer Archambault; and many nieces; nephews; and dear friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Barbara Inch.

In accordance with Lois’ wishes, no formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home this summer.

In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation in her memory to Northwoods Animal Shelter in Iron River, MI, Saving Snouts in Kaukauna, WI, or to pancreatic cancer research via their website at https://pancan.org
