Iron Mountain- Larry Lee Faught, 77, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born February 2, 1943, in Garrett, Ind., son of the late Leon Leroy and Madeline (Wyler) Fought. Larry grew up in Angola, Ind. and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. He married Jeanine Bahr on December 2, 1965 in Chicago, Ill. They resided in Chicago for two months before moving to Angola, Ind. where they resided for nine years and later moved to Powers, Mich. in 1980 and finally making their home in Iron Mountain in 2006. Larry was employed by Engineer Machine Products in Escanaba, Mich. for a few years and retired from there in 2003.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping, the outdoors, and especially the time spent with family,
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jean; two sons, Jeff (Valorie) Faught, Sagola, Mich. and Brian (Heather) Faught, Loretta, Mich.; three daughters, Tina (Russ) McCracken, Hermansville, Mich., Stephanie (Raymond) Broeders, Norway, Mich., and Shanda (Reid) Cmejla, Bark River, Mich., two brothers, Richard (Candy) Fought, North Webster, Ind., and Robert (Belva) Fought, Wichita Falls, Tex.; one sister, Karen Clause, Angola, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, 24, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Fought; one grandson, Mitchell Gagne; and one nephew, Benjamin Fought.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be announced in the spring.
