Obituary for Kathleen L. Hemingway (Hunt)
Iron Mountain-Kathleen L. Hemingway, age 66, of Pembine, Wis., passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, at Freeman Nursing Home, Kingsford, Mich.
She was born June 17, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Gilbert and Deloras (Fredrickson) Hunt. Kathy grew up in Chicago and graduated from James B. Conant High School, Hoffman Estates, Ill. She married Robert Hemingway on November 12, 1977, in Milwaukee, Wis. They resided for many years in Milwaukee and Schaumburg, Ill., where she worked as the head account for Toys R Us. Kathy later moved to Elgin, Ill. where she worked as the account manager for Lyn-den Flooring Company. Her along with her husband, moved to Pembine in 1996. Kathy worked for Walmart in Iron Mountain in accounting.
She loved working and being around people and enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog, and especially her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years Robert; her beloved mother, Deloras (Billy) Ackley, Kingsford, Mich.; one beloved son, Timothy (Becky) Hemingway, Amberg, Wis.; three beloved brothers, David (Heather) Hunt, Elgin, Ill., Dan Hunt, Chicago, Ill. and Art (Ellen) Hunt, Sugar Land, Tex.; two beloved grandchildren, Blake and Cameron; many nieces and nephews; and best friend Kathy Donovan.
In addition to her father, Gilbert David Hunt, Kathy was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Hunt.
Private family graveside service will take place in the spring at the Pembine Cemetery, Pembine, Wis.
